                Re: Suprise teams this year?

the mariners are the most underrated team in the league. The best defense in the league. GREAT pitching if Garcia rebounds, and Meche recovers. The best bullpen in the league. Hitting is very very good if everyone is healthy.

Off topic: If Melvin is a smart manager the Mariners lineup should look like this tommorow.

                1.Ichiro
                2.Winn
                3.Martinez
                4.Olerud
                5.Boone
                6.Cameron
                7.Cirillo
                8.Davis
                9.Guillen

The key is having Martinez and Olerud two of the best at taking the walk in the league in front of Boone. In 2001 this is how the lineup was to start the season and lets just say it "worked out". Its going to be funny to me when the Angels don't even make the playoffs and the A's and Mariners walk away easily with the West and Wildcard.
