    Trade Proposal

I have seen what great advice everyone on this board gives regarding trades I thought I'd throw my own proposal in the ring and see what everyone thinks.

I am the Braves and I want to trade Vinny Castilla to free up some points so I can resign Maddux at the end of the season. The thing is, Sheffield is wanting to go elsewhere and I can let him go b/c there should be some good free agents out there and that's 40+BP that I have to play around with. Here are my options:
    1) Vinny Castilla to
BOS for Freddy Sanchez, Troy O'Leary, and Mike Timlin

    2)above trade and
    Sheffield to SEA for Ichiro

    or
3)anything better that you guys come up with. Keep in mind that Castilla is worth 23 BP and I want 2 or 3 guys for him, but don't want to spend more than 12-15 BP. I like Sanchez b/c he could be my future 2B and Timlin will help me in the pen.

    Let me know
"A two count is routine. You kick out at two if you aren’t done. Kicking out at one is a MESSAGE. It says NO in capital letters. A middle finger. A promise that the other man is going to have to kill you if they’re going to put you down." ~ Brandon Stroud

hey bob can you make the BP in the game seem light monwy in anyway....ex. like is 40bp equal to like 4million dollars or is it just 40 points and thats it...

no, it is only in budget points. for me I don't mind it, less numbers to worry baout, but I equate the #'s to millions i.e 40BP equals 40 million over X number of years. Just seems simpler to me.

That's funny... Sheff for Ichiro was actually offered to and rejected by Seattle before Sheff got traded to Atlanta..

I made a trade last night... me using the Pirates default roster (with pick-ups of Sanders and Lofton) traded Suppan, Mackowiak and a scrub to Florida for Josh Beckett... Mackowiak is rated like a 77 or something, and Suppan is about the same. I think Beckett rates like 84 or something, but this freed up some BP for me to use later seeing as I got rid of three guys for one.

I know that it's 40BP per season not 40BP spread out over 4 years, I just wanted to make it interesting for myself since apparently I have a baseball sim addiction!!

I guess it would work out that way if you did it like that to because I think T.Glavine has a 3year deal worth 32bp so if you did it like that he would be getting paid $10.6 million a year thats sound about right..

To make my life a little tougher since the Phils are Godlike ( Ican't get Pat Burrell out, even when I walk him he hits a HR!) the Mets threw me a curveball acquiring Alfonso Soriano and Andy Pettitte from the Yanks for Roberto Alomar and Mike Basick, life is good
