    Re: Trade Proposal

1 point = $200K, so 5 = 1 mil and so on. Actually 8 mil a year is about par for a frontline player.

Just my 2cents, but I think the deal w/ Castilla to Boston sounds good. O leary is decent and Timlin will help in the pen. Plus you get a ultility infielder. You could move Chipper back to 3rd n start O leary in left.

        Re: Trade Proposal

What I want is to keep the integrity of the game itself, meaning I don't want to trade 4 minor leaguers and get Barry Bonds in my outfield. I just don't like to do that and maybe that's my problem, I should be willing to pull off high-end trades since it is a game. Right now I am leaning towards Vinny Castilla and Marcus Giles to Boston for Freddy Sanchez, Mike Timlin, and a minor league OF'er keeping in mind that Sheffield will probably leave after the season I am still in a quandry about what to do with him. I AM going to rid myself of Castilla before the deadline, I just don't know where to go.

WOW I'm really surprised that the computer let that trade happen. Soriano would never get dealt by the Yankees. Let along for Alomar. Damn.

Funny you that you mention Soriano. I simulated my first season with the Braves, and didn't sign any free agents. I was looking at who signed with what team and I saw that the Mets had signed Soriano,Tejada,Albert Puljos and Roy Halliday. I promptly aborted that franchsie. I've simulated a few more times and I haven't seen those guys has free agents again.

i cant wait till the end of my season cuz pujols will be a FA and fit perfectly cuz im gonna lose my left fielder. it seems that when i tied up the cardinals with about 15 more bp in a trade.. they cant afford to pay pujols...

Here is my current lineup for the Braves

                            SS-Furcal
                            2B- DeRosa
                            LF- Chipper
                            RF- Shef
                            CF- AJones
                            1B- Fick
                            C- Lopez
3B- Fryman (signed as FA, should fill the position until Betemit is ready for promotion)

What I want to do is trade Castilla and Giles for a 3B and an OF'er any suggestions?
