    Best Up and Comer?

Who would you guys say is the best up and comer in the MLB?

I would have to say Jame McDonald. Of course I am bias because he is a Dodger, but his performance in the playoffs is just the beginning of something special I believe.

    What do you guys think?

Cameron Maybin will tear up, as will Taylor Teagarden.

Jed Lowrie could be as good for the Sox as Dustin Pedroia has been.

Chris Volstad of the Marlins looks like he'll be a good one.

The kid's still in college but Dustin Ackley from UNC is crazy good; think Todd Helton except for about 20-25 HRs a year rather than 40. He's had a .400avg every year in college, has B rated speed and a spectacular glove...

Future is more like 2010-2011 but remember the name...

For the Jays it would be Adam Lind and Travis Snider. They're both pretty young as Snider will just be 21 and Lind will turn 25 in the middle of the season.

Lind improved by leaps and bounds with Cito Gaston and Gene Tenace guiding him and I expect he'll stick on with the big club full time next year and put up some good numbers. Snider is very raw but he shows some very good plate discipline and is aggressive at the right times in the count. He does have a high K rate right now but that'll go down as he familiarizes himself more with big league pitching. I don't know if he'll be called up right away but most fans are eager to see him given a full opportunity.

Phillies traded I guy named Gregg Golson to the Rangers during the winter meetings.

Golson is a burner, and could be something special once given the chance.

Colby Rasmus could be the 2009 Jay Bruce.

I'd either have to go with David Price or Taylor Teagarden from the Rangers. Teagarden hasn't had time to prove himself because there were two catchers in front of him (Laird and Saltalamacchia), but since Laird is gone, I think TT can easily overtake Salty for the top spot.

David Price is the next big thing. I have a feeling that he will struggle as a starter, the Rays send him to the bullpen where he becomes one of the greatest closers of all time

lol, joking aside, I think Price will have a decent year next year, and could put the Rays in contention for another AL East Title.

Matt Laporta or Adam Miller (finally?) for the Indians. They both have the ability to fit this description.

If Miller's arm stays on, he'll be nasty.

I'll add a few more guys to this list.

                              Mike Moustakas (Royals)
