Why exactly would you give up Tejada now? The A's are legit World Series contenders and there is no way they will trade him unless they fall out of the race well before Labor Day. Thinking he is going to get traded to New York is just Yankee Dreaming.

              Re: Tejada/Yanks rumor

Its not fair if this happens!!! I wouldn't understand if the A's trade him to New York. They both have a huge chance to win their division and meet each other in the playoffs. I wouldn't want to help the team that'll stop me from going to the world series by giving them an MVP player.

I don't really know much about baseball, but if you really wanted to trade tejada, wouldn't you try to trade him to the National League so you can avoid him as much as possible? Or atleast not give him to the Yanks, they already had Giambi leave.

I mean yankees are so solid with there batters, don't you think they would want to tweek there pitching staff? Especially having Rivera out for awhile, and Wells having controvery with the team. What i'm i talking about, they are the yankees, they can do anything they want.

I'm just starting to get into MLB, but can someone tell me how the yankees can afford all the players on there team??? I swear, they have an all star on every spot. Doesn't baseball have a salary cap or something?

I'm not acting like a jerk, but when someone starts a rumor about a team they know nothing about, it don't matter how long they've been posting on these boards. I wasn't lashing out at anyone, just stating that, Bernie isn't going anywhere, they will move Mondesi before they even consider moving Bernie. The real rumor in NY is, they have talked to Cincy about Barry Larkin, and Cleveland, about Omar Vizquel. Tejada would be a nice addition, but when people start throwing things around like trading Bernie, I feel obligated to correct them. If you guys think Duece is a repected member, thats fine, but you have no right criticizing me for posting that it WON'T happen. I have been around on here for quite sometime now, but never really had the time to share my views as much as I do now..

Actually I do have a right to criticize your posts, especially when they are out of line. Duece was only relaying what he heard on KFAN, which I believe is a radio station in your area. So if you have an issues with the rumor take it up with them, don't shoot the messenger. It's not that difficult of a concept.

Just because your a Yankee fan, doesn't mean your the only person who knows anything about the Yankees or baseball for that matter, or that you have free reign to act like a jerk.

Now or August 31st........the A's won't move him as long as they have a chance to win to make the playoffs and win the World Series. You don't give up the MVP of the league and your best offensive/defensive player just to get a few prospects when you are a World Series contender. One of their top prospects is a SS so if they make it to the World Series and Tejada walks I don't think the A's will be too disappointment. Plus, there is a lot of time between now and the end of the season so you never know Tejada may change his mind and decide to stay in Oakland. Maybe he won't be a sellout like Giambi who posed as a "wild/party guy" in Oakland, but now is "Mr. GQ wanna-be" in New York.

Why exactly would you give up Tejada now? The A's are legit World Series contenders and there is no way they will trade him unless they fall out of the race well before Labor Day. Thinking he is going to get traded to New York is just Yankee Dreaming.
