"SportsMonger", has a great point.
But most gamers (including myself) always buy the new version of the game / a series when it is released.
I had to go to 4 stores Tuesday to find AR...and at the GameStop I purchased it at...the manager of the store raved about how cool AR is (blows away the Sharkport/GameShark for the PS2).
Plus AR (or their parent company) bought out GameShark or whomever owns them.
I've had a SharkPort (PS2) for 2 years now, and never have had any problems.
I don't understand why some employee at the store where you bought AR at told you that B.S., because at every electronics / gaming store I've ever been to have always had Sharkports, GameSharks, CodeBreakers, and etc. for the PS2.
But as far as voiding your warranty on the X-Box...is a joke...WHY? Because you do not mod your system. So if for some reason your X-Box developes problems and you have to get it fixed...just transfer all your AR - Saves to another memory card or your PC...and the only one who will know you have AR is you...unless you tell MS...which would be stupid.
I am so stoked that AR came out so now I have the opening-day rosters & lineups for WSB2K3.
Shot out to Millennium and all the people who helped him put a fantastic 'ROSTER' together...THANKS!!!!!
Can't wait for NCAA Football 2004...won't have to send a memory-card off to get the roster-names this year.
And maybe this will cause XBL to get their act together so when Sega or any other developer releases downloads via LIVE, the downloads will actually be available when stated...like NBA2K4.
