No, he will be late mid relief. Just another option of depth with Ramon Ramirez and Delcarmen.
And if Okajima is overworked in a series he can be set-up. Paps is still the closer.

I don't see much coming from this, but it's still a worthwhile risk for a big market team like Boston. I just don't think Saito will be healthy enough to be effective. The only thing going for him is that most teams in the AL have never faced him so if his stuff comes back even at 80% he has a shot to make a positive impact.Comment

I've liked all the moves the Sox have made this year.
