Re: Bonds and "The Clear"
So he took a steroid before it was technically classified one. Big deal.
So did McGwire with Andro...
Once a cheat, always a cheat.
He's not even denying he used... he is just going off semantics now.
He used... and that's all that needs to be said.Last edited by Lintyfresh85; 01-15-2009, 01:18 AM.http://flotn.blogspot.com

An extreme hypothetical situation, but what if Creatine becomes classified as a steroid down the road? Convict all athletes for that, too?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Bonds and "The Clear"
I agree. If you or someone can prove that McGwire or Bonds continued the use after the banishment, then sure convict them.Comment

Shall we go back and punish all those who used greenies and amphetamines? Those are illegal to use now, but were used quite often before.Comment

Re: Bonds and "The Clear"
I hope all this comes out as it should, bonds gets cleared and comes in to spring training hitting homer after homer for some american league team and just makes the record unreachable"They call me the freak, cause i'm a freak of nature" - Randy Moss

I just want the truth to come out, (and it will).
Blazer you bring up a good point about if Creatine gets banned, and the point about greenies and aphetamines is a good one too.#SimnationComment

This discussion has been had, over and over and over and over and over and over again. It ends up being the same people saying the same things over and over and over and over again.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Bonds and "The Clear"
News flash. Drugs are in EVERY sport, big time, and have been for a long time. All testing in all sports is a joke, athletes call them I.Q. tests for a reason.
As it stands, drug makers and users are miles ahead of any testing used by any sport, it's all for show and it's a damn shame. Tons of athletes who haven't used are just as good or better than the heroes on TV, if you're not using, you're 2 strikes in the hole with a hostile ump.
Sportswriters and journalists have no idea what they're talking about on the subject or they're just not talking. No matter what you're looking for there's a drug that will greatly enhance your performance, not all drug users look like Barry Bonds.
Take it to the bank, what you're watching on TV are great athletes souped up to perform on a greater level than what's natural, the drugs have gotten better and better, it's not like in the 60's when college football programs were using crude steroids meant for cattle, lol.
So many guys dont' even pass the eyeball test to a trained eye. It's funny how the "steroid" look is used in commercials, movies, video games etc.Comment

Re: Bonds and "The Clear"
Just to clear up this "legal" business. Just because baseball didn't declare them "illegal" means nothing, it was still a federal crime! Does baseball have to declare murder on the field illegal?? I had a friend do time for these drugs while they were still "legal" in baseball.
All of these statements are crafted by lawyers and they're all subtle lies. "It wasn't illegal", "It was prescribed", "I didn't know what it was", "It was in an over the counter substance", "We used it to recover", I could go on forever.
What they don't tell you is that you can change 1/10th of 1 percent of the molecular structure of a drug, it's a "new" drug hence it "wasn't on the list".
All of these guys know exactly what they're doing, they're doing drugs, because they know the other guy is doing drugs, or if they don't use drugs they might be out of a big money job. The system is screwed, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.
The NFL is rife with drugs, unless you believe humans have "evolved" 100 generations in the past 30 years. The only thing evolving is the drugs.Comment
