Debating which game to get for XBOX

I am still trying to decide which baseball game to pick up for my XBOX this year. There are several titles out there that seem to have something to offer and Inside Pitch is still to come. These decisions usually come down to personal tastes, but I would appreciate any suggestions.

Here is what I would like in a game:
    1. Good looks and details. Ok, I admit it. I am as superficial with video games as I am with women. Graphics are important to me and I really enjoy finding details like airplanes at Shea, the Citgo sign over the Green Monster and the monuments in the Bronx.
    2. Fun and fast gameplay. I got ASB last year and while it was great with graphics and details, I found it slow and aggrevating to play.
    3. 80% realistic. To be fun and fast, I understand that some realism will be lost. I don’t care about things like being able to do a double switch or warm up the bull pen. But on the other hand, I don’t want guys catching on fire nor every game to end up 16-13 with 10 HR’s. A few shoot outs are fine, but some pitcher’s duels would be nice to...basically a good mix like in real baseball.

I’ll be lucky to make it through one season, so I don’t care about franchise, trading or create a player. Additionally, I don’t have broadband, so I don’t care about online play, it is just me and the CPU.

From what I have heard, HH doesn’t look all that good. And from experience, I know that ASB is too slow. But that still leaves a couple candidates. People don’t seem impressed by the previews of IP, but the interviews with the developer are encouraging......seems like a nice sim-arcade blend.

    I would appreciate any thoughts.

From what I'm reading, you might prefer MVP. It looks great, gets most of the things right, and the things it leaves out are what you said aren't important (like warming up the bullpen)

I would say MVP or possibly WSB2K3.

ASB 2004 isn't that bad. It's ALOT better than last years. Stats are more realistic, Franchise is ALOT deeper. Plus you can Scenarios, watch media, the usual home run derby, batting practice, collect cards, pick up games.... There's alot of stuff in the game. Plus the AI is alot smarter this year.
