Life is funny sometimes. Not surprised at all. Neither Bonds or A-Rod needed the stuff, both HOF before it, but here we are... Blame it on the era and wanting to be recognized for their greatness. Being clean wasn't getting it done I guess.

You don't really want big bulky like muscles in basketball you want your muscles to be lean and fast twitch. Guys are bigger in all sports today than in the past. There was no such position like that back in the day. I mean you got some high schools now with state of the art weight rooms and things.

On another note I do believe there are some guys in the NFL on the "juice". It would benefit those guys alot more than it would NBA guys. If you look at the NBA guys most of them are still lean guys. They just have better traning and conditioning.

Or, if we are going to legalize steriods, let's just legalize crack and heroin also. Why should we pick and choose? In respect to health problems, I can see what you're saying.

In respect to cheating, I think the argument for steroids is ridiculous. Players have been using every possible advantage since the beginning of the game. To say someone is a cheater for taking steroids is the same as saying someone cheated by icing their legs.

The truth is that most people don't really care who was on performance enhancing drugs (at least to the extent that they would no longer follow the sport). The media has been shoving this down our throats.

MLB could come out and announce that every single person that was on the all-star roster last season is on roids and I would still watch MLB.

I would say the difference is we'll never know. No drug testing in place so you can only speculate.

There's proof with these guys.

Put a star next to their season stats for that year. That's it. Just be done with it already.

No way someone should be able to look back, compare stat lines and not take something like this into account when thinking of a player's "legacy."

I don't really like the idea of the asterisk but it's better than completely taking their records off the books. I just don't like that of completely disregarding what happened on the field.

It's gotten to the point that you can assume that most players in most sports are on something.

Even in football everyone talks about how athletes are so much stronger/faster/bigger than 20-30 years ago. Why do you think that is? Gatorade? I mean c'mon people. With the money on the table in major sports there's no reason not to do this stuff.

Humans didn't "evolve" in 30 years to become so much bigger and stronger. It's no different than the gym. Anyone can see who's juicing and who's not. The way a lot of athletes look now is just not natural. But from a financial standpoint, you'd be crazy not to juice. Way too much upside with not much downside financially.

I wouldn't take their stats out completely either. That's going overboard, IMO.

If the player was getting away with b/c of MLB's own lack of a policy, they are only part of the parties that should take the blame.

Another thing I've been thinking about: who are the other 100+ people? I want their names too. Mostly because mocking someone who is terrible and used steroids to be that terrible would be interesting.
