Re: Who will be the next big cheat????
And what does that prove? In the Dominican Republic Presinal is pretty much hailed as a god when it comes to pro athletes and their development/andwhatnot. Just cause some steroid seller mentions him in his report to get off easier, doesn't automatically mean it's all true. MLB banned him solely based off the letters/reports released a few years ago. I'm not saying it's all lies I'm just saying you should stop using speculation as basis for your weak arguments...Comment

Re: Who will be the next big cheat????
This is not the Dominican Republic, and MLB went on more then a single steroid seller as you put it to ban him from mlb club houses. Oh yeah I know you. You are the guy who was arguing with everyone in The Show threads. I should have recognized the name. Is that your thing? Going from thread to thread just to agitate?Comment

Re: Who will be the next big cheat????
Just throwing this out there because I love friendly debate. I wanted to look on the back of some of the more visible players baseball cards. I was just looking for curious spikes in power because I believe the roids help you more there then anywhere else. But not only spikes but mysterious drop offs as well. Going back to ARod, one could argue in his last mvp year where he hit 54-hr. 156rbi- .314BA-.645 .slg to last years, 35- 103- .302 - 573 Looking further into his career you can see a curious pattern
Texas 03, last year juicing according to mr. "Truthful" 47 hr- 118 rbi- .298 avg- .600 slg But 04 36 - 106 - .286 - .512 So in his career we have power one year then a drop then power again.
DAvid Ortiz last year with the Twins = 20 - 75 - .272 - 500
Sox = 31 - 101 - .288 - 592
41 - 139 - .301 - 603
47 - 148 - .300 - 604
54 - 137 - .287 - 636
35 - 117 - .332 - 621
Now none of this is rocket science, but a little thing like this is how speculation starts.Comment

Are you kidding me? What were they telling him. "Umm, we know you could probably hit 40hrs and drive in 130 while batting over 300. But that doesn't fit in with what we do here. We just need you to hit oh, say 20 hrs 85 rbi's and hit .270 and we're good to go."Michigan WolverinesChicago White SoxComment

Re: Who will be the next big cheat????
It's true. Teams have different philosophies on how they want their players to approach the plate. I remember in the early 90's when Chad Curtis came up with the Angels there were stories about how he and then Angels hitting coach Rod Carew did not always get along because Curtis had speed and some pop in his bat but Carew would always tell him to hit it on the ground and Curtis did not want to be a ground ball hitter who only stole bases. It was probably no coincidence that in 1995 after Curtis was traded to the Tigers he hit a career high 21 HR's as the Tigers leadoff hitter.Comment
