what i did was, i found an existing minor leaguer (one that was a fictitious name) who was foppert's real age (22) and i edited that player to be foppert. the key is to find a player of the same age and position you desire, as the position is not editable.

here's how to create age
I came up with this last night while i was creating jessie foppert, the giants prospect. as you all know the cpu kept making him 32 or 34.
what i did was, i found an existing minor leaguer (one that was a fictitious name) who was foppert's real age (22) and i edited that player to be foppert. the key is to find a player of the same age and position you desire, as the position is not editable.Tags: None -

Technically that's not creating age, that's editing an existing player."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

Re: here\'s how to create age
That is no way the best solution....it can be almost impossible to find someone that is the correct age, bat, throwing arm, and position. And those are all things you cannot edit, so they have to be exact. My way is by far the best way...
Simply goto create a player, edit the position, bat, throwing arm.....(do not waste time with the name or the attributes or ratings), then press done. Now goto edit player, find your player, and scouting report him, check his age, if he's correct, then edit the remaining things such as name, weight, ratings....if he's not the correct age, then back out, reset rosters (which is on the same screen) and repeat those steps....in 10 minutes or less, you'll have him created at the correct age. Then save that roster, now you'll never have to do it again!
The best way, period!Comment

unfortunatly your method does not work if you are creating a player in Franchise mode.
Also, if you are creating more than one player, won't resetting the rosters erase other players you have created???Comment

Re: here\'s how to create age
Ahh....I'm not so quick to give you the "good point" stamp.
Save your roster after you create a player, then you would simply reload your roster, it takes about an extra 20 seconds.
Now to the franchise statement, I don't know about you guys, but I create everyone I want too before I started my franchise, so they were free agents waiting to be signed when I started my franchise. But I figure you could just reload your franchise if you wanted to create someone in mid year. I don't do that however, I let the franchise breathe its own life once I start it.Comment
