they're newsworthy because the photo shoot was 2 days after the steroid allegations came out

a-fraud is an idiot and shows no passion for the game

most hated player in baseball hands down, have fun this year a-roid

he won't finish his career with more than 725 homers

I'm pretty sure that the interview was days BEFORE the Roberts story. Hence using the words "alluding" in the article.

Unless, the photo shoot was taken days after the interview. I didn't catch that.

I would guess that they are newsworthy due to the fact that they are in a well circulated magazine, probably the mags view as well....if they didnt view it as such, it wouldnt be in there. Maybe that is just me.....but then again we all have viewed thhis thread - maybe there is some news value in it.

Thanks though to Arod for absolutely keeping the off-season NOT boring.

in his mind he'll think that way, a-fraud wants to be known as the best and it ain't going to happen

plus everyone has been assuming for years that hes going to be hitting 850, so he won't be living up to expectations so theres another failure for a-fraud. he won't hit over 35 this year guaranteed

but that's because he's going to be out for an undisclosed amount of time with his injury. I think A-Rod will hit 800 homers, but even tho I'm a Yankee fan, I'll be thrilled to see Albert Pujols snatch that record away from him just a few years later... someone who truly deserves it.

regardless of the injury I don't think a-fraud will hit over 35 HRs in a year the rest of his career, hes on the decline in his career and has consistently let injures and pressure get to him, hes the softest player in baseball. plus someone has the record who already does deserve it. Barry Bonds and Hank Aaron are the only 2 players to hit 300 homers after they turned 33 and its going to stay that way for a loonnnggg time

                                Really now?

2001 - First year with Rangers after signing richest contract in sports history: Hits a then career high 52 homeruns, driving in 135 and hitting .318. Tough way to handle pressure.

2004: Second year with Yankees after an un-ARod like 36 homeruns and 106 RBI. Fans are down on him. Rodriguez proceeds to break the Yankees right-handed hitter homerun mark with 48, drives in 130 runs, and hits .321 on his way to his second MVP Award. Totally unacceptable way to handle pressure.

Oh, and those years he's dealt with injuries? He's only averaged 40 homeruns and over 110 RBI in those three injury-plagued seasons.

                                Yea.
