Re: Best Balanced Park for an Expansion team?

ya i had an expansion at the "Grounds" first game allowed 6 homers. then my next game there with Andy Pettitte pitching 7 homers in an inning. most would have been catchable but that left field upper deck hangs over and it caught most of them. so i started a new one and i'm playing at Wirthchace i think.can't remember because i play my Brewers franchise more.
    Teams:

    NFL - Packers & Browns
    MLB - Brewers & Twins
NCAA Football - Wisconsin, LSU, Virginia Tech
    Soccer - Arsenal, Wolverhampton
    NHL - Wild

Re: Best Balanced Park for an Expansion team?

I started one at The Mac with some godly players. I had the best draft of my life, so I was able to get some good players. I got Moises Alou and Steve Finley in the draft, not to mention pettitte, ashby, tino, durham, acevedo, and others. It was AMAZING! In any case, I ended up with a pretty good team. I simmed through to the home opener, because it was my original intent just to try out the park.

        Holy cow....

This park is the most AMAZING park for Expansion teams. I can't lie, it was relatively easy to hit in the game, I DID win the first game 18-3 vs. the Red Sox, but then, they did have Casey Fossum Pitching, and I had Astacio. In any case, Astacio allowed 2 HRs and one of my LRs gave up a run. Depending on how even your team is between hitting and pitching, this should be a fair park to play in. It's a little hard to get doubles. Still, it was rather easy to hit. I don't know if Casey Fossum is to account for that, or something else, but all I know is I homered with Steve Finley, Moises Alou, and Erubiel Durazo. I also went 4/5 with A.J. Pierzynski; He had 6 RBIs. Is it a hitters park? Maybe...

but more importantly, is it a nice park?

I'm telling you, it looks even better than in the stadium tour. I played a night game, and the city outline when you hit a home run is like.."WOW!" It's the COOLEST park to hit in, and the Huge Luxury Apartment building in center feild actually goes along VERY nicely with it. It did seem like a somewhat small park, but the background was worth it. This park feels like a REAL park, and it looks so damn cool. I suggest everyone tries it at least once!

Fischbach is too easy to hit in. I think I'm going to go with the grounds or posibly the Acclaim sports park. I like Locko Dome cause it's hard to hit in, but the CPU can never hit anything. I've played like 6 games there, and so I have a 0.77 team ERA. Using all C+ Pitchers....
