Maddux's two seamer is one of my favorite pitches all time (I give it to myself in RTTS every year) but you can't argue Mo's cutter. No deception needed, he could tell every hitter that it's coming and they still can't hit it anywhere.MLB: New York Yankees

I'm going Phil Niekro as well. Just like with Mo, you know its coming, and unlike Mo he did it as a starter and rode that pitch to over 300 wins and over 3000 strikeouts.Comment

Not quite. It was good because batters didn't know it was coming, on top of its screwball action. That's what made Pedro dominant, he had threw plus pitches from the same arm angle at the same arm speed. Though I do agree that his change was more dominant for him than his curve.Comment
