Cardot- the batting curser in '04 is a lot more responsive than the '03 version. If you have not played '04 yet, rent it and you will see that it's easier to move.

Yeah, and don't listen to what EGM said about the cursor tilting because it still timing based. I tried to pull a ball, but I swung late and hit it to Right Center, this was a with a Righty.

I just threw my *** in the hot burning fire, all star, normal pitching, no aids right from the start. For the first 2 weeks, I thought I was never going to score a run, I couldn't hit squat. If I didn't hold the cpu to under 2 runs, I would bet my life savings I was going to lose. But next thing you know, you catch up to that fastball, you're ready for that changeup, you pick up that hanging curve. Now I average 6-12 hits a game, depending on the pitcher. Of course, then comes Pedro, and he shuts me down to no runs on 4 hits.
I think you just have to throw your *** in the hot fire and suffer for a week or two, get some batting practice. I love the fact that it takes time to get better, and still can't be mastered completely.
I played MVP last week, and in my first (and only) game, I got 7 hits through 5 or so innings, on all star level. ASB makes it a challenge.

What I did was I started out on veteran with exaggerated pitching and the classic cursor. When I got good at picking up the pitches, I went back to normal pitching.

If you're having trouble with veteran/exaggerated pitching, put some time in batting practice. It really does make a difference.

thats what i did too. I usally check my players hot and cold zones and i start with the cursor in the are where he is hot and then move if need be. IM patient too, i usally get good pitches to hit.

i think patience is the biggest key to hitting this game, just like real life
