Some lush throw a ball onto the field, and others I guess were throwing trash and other items.
How would've though that Toronto had a little "philly" in them.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

It's only the drunks that attend opening day. I bet most of those people throwing junk at the Tigers were Detroit fans. Man Lind and Snider looked GREAT out there. Hopefully that becomes the norm.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

lol it wasn't Detroit fans. It was the same idiots who show up every opening night and do that.
I just can't wait for the article in the paper blaming TFC fans so I can bang my head against a brick wall.Blue Jays, Blackhawks, AuburnComment

I gotta get you a new updated Rios avatar. I had a crappy monitor when I made that and apparently the bill on Rios's helmet is missing.Comment

Oh cool, that would be much appreciated. I didn't notice the lack of a bill until you mentioned it.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Sand, I get what you are saying. But say they don't make it. Will there be 40 reporters in the brewers locker room asking him if he is worth the money? I'll even concede there was some pressure with the brewers but nothing like a team that expects to be in the playoffs (Cleveland) or win the title (Yankees). That is what i'm trying say.
Also, since the new owner has taken over the Brewers(and not the Selig's) it's expected the make they playoffs going from a $20 million salary to a little over $80 million.Comment

Well, its opening day, i didnt want to jinx anything. 4-1 win is good for now. Kemp with a nice play on defense, nice home run to dead center. Loney and Either both getting clutch hits. Furcal with about 3 hits. I dont remember right off the bat. I was in and out of the house watching the game.Comment

I get what you are saying, but if the Brewers don't make the playoffs and CC loses, guess who the blame goes too? Yep, CC and he literally took the Brewers on his shoulders the last month of the season.
Also, since the new owner has taken over the Brewers(and not the Selig's) it's expected the make they playoffs going from a $20 million salary to a little over $80 million.
But the pressure in New York is like nothing that CC has experienced before. The expectation that come with his contract, the astronomically high ticket prices and the expectations that the rotation will carry them to the title will ratchet up each day that the Yanks are not in first place come May and June.
With that said. A bad start on April 6th vs. the O's is nothing over the course of the season. But did you see how many mics were in his face after the game?Moderator
