Re: 42
What he meant was, all MLB players wore 42. It wasnt an option for them, therefore how "good" can it be? While its good they respect what JR did, they didnt do it cause they respect him, they did it cause selig told them to do it, which is messed up when you look at it like that. This is what he was saying, or at least that is my understanding of it.

Re: 42
Drop the racism thing. If your still getting it on your end it might not be racism people might just think your a bad person. There is a differance.
And to all those who say a guy is racist because he doesnt wear #42 you are ********. In order to show respect it has to be an option. Otherwise its just a stunt the mlb did. Enough guys would have worn it anyway and those that didnt wouldnt be racist. Some people just fight when they are forced to do anything. i dont think anyone fought it cuz they dont want to be that racist guy.
America is so ignorant.
Yes racism exists, but not anywhere near as much, and its coming reverse way harder. Not to mention have you seen the way people hate on mexicans. People just like to hate other people but blaming another man is a weak attempt to cover your own faults.Comment

Re: 42
Good question. Why make a Jackie Robinson thread , which commemorates the first black man to get a shot in the MLB when others got no shot and his shot wasn't a fair one with all the things he couldn't do that his teammates were allowed to do, and then turn around and point out how due to him we all got a shot now even though it isn't always a fair one. Yeah you right , those two things have nothing in common. Yeah ok, you win.
As someone said before, that was the uniform of the day. Any serviceman knows on occassion, for whatever day, there's a uniform of the day. Wear it or stay in your room and play sick. The choice is yours. That was the uniform of the day. I don't see anything wrong with it at all.

the second comment you quoted me as saying was me actually paraphrasing someone else so if you have issues with it, quote them.Comment
