    The Worst LOCAL announcer...

Mariners fans have had it great with Dave Niehaus...but Ron Fairly was a horrible color guy and he'd say obvious things all the time. Now we have DAVE SIMS...the guy that does college football play by play. He's cheesy, a homer , and boring, and tries to give everyone cutesy frickin' nicknames. What LOCAL guys do you hate? FIRE DAVE SIMS!!!!

Easily Jamie Campbell thing is, he's worse then being a local guy. He's essentially a national guy as a majority of the games he calls is beamed to the whole country.

He talks like he knows a lot about baseball but his knowledge is very superficial. He has an annoying "announcer voice" at times but then when exciting plays happen his voice rises and he sounds like a kid! Every big defensive play he says "oh gosh that's gold glove material right there". He also does the schtick where he wishes some octogenerian happy birthday but it comes off as cheesy when he does it compared to other announcers i've heard. The guy is just BRUTAL!

I wish Jerry Howarth would do TV

LOL @ Ol' Red. I actually miss his Fairly-isms.

"If you hit the ball over the fence, its a homerun."

"The bases are loaded and the one thing you have to remember if you're the Mariners, is that your pitcher is in trouble."

"If you score more runs than your opponent, you're going to win games."

As far as the M's, Niehaus is one of the all-time greats and would be up there with Kalas, Scully, Caray, etc. if he didn't announce in baseball's outpost. The rest of the M's announcers are awful. Rizzs drives me insane with his school girl giggle.

At least he's in the HOF. Jays fans have been waiting YEARS for Tom Cheek to be voted in. Every year he's in the top 5 in the fan voting for the voters consideration and every year he loses out to someone else

This is an easy one for me, it George Grande the Reds TV play by play guy. He is just horrible, he is the reason why I watche the game on TV and listen to the radio.

It use to be Joe Nuxall! I know 99.9% of people worshipped him before he pasted away but he was just horrible on the radio. His voice was just really annoying and he called guys the wrong name all the time. I guess that is what happens when you are drunk in the booth! I know he quit drinking in his later years but then he just quit talking. You would listen to the game and when Marty B. was taking his inning off you could listed to 2 or 3 minutes before Joe would talk.

              LOL.

I remember watching a game and Fairly thought the ball was a plastic bag blowing out in the outfield...too bad the batter actually had lined out to RF.

And I too I can't stand Dave Sims, or Mike Blowers for that matter.

Ken Harrelson by far. The biggest unprofessional hack in the entire game. He literally go silent if the other team makes a good play. Call the damn game, not just the infrequent HR calls for the White Sox.

He irks me to no end.

Sims tries to do that too... he DOESN'T TALK...he's like doing his best Pat Summerall impression and then abruptly gets excited...he's horrible for TV. The first time I ever heard Josh Lewin on TV it drove me nuts...doing fox playoffs he didn't say anything either. Everyone trying to copy TBS, and that boring broadcast before they dropped the Braves.

Best thing from an ATL broadcast..."That's another hit off of Bong"

...Blowers is MUCH better with Niehaus. Sims kills him too. They have NO chemistry. Thing is Dave Sims does football WELL on CBS radio. I don't get it. I just wish he'd talk a little more, and say more mature things instead of being such a homer, when he's only been here 3 years.

Ken Harrelson is the worst broadcaster in all of sports. Chicago seems to have a love affair with loud, obnoxious blowhards and Harrelson is the epitome of the Chicago broadcaster. At least Harry Caray morphed into a lovable old grandfather figure before he died.

Ken Harrelson easily. And this is coming from someone who has to either listen to John Sterling or Michael Kay on a daily basis.

wasn't the Michael Kay who was on ASB 2001 or somethin like that? Couldn't stand him. Or that Yankees win crap.

Sterling and Kay were both in that series. They used to both do games together on the radio, but when the YES Network started, Kay moved to PBP on YES while Sterling stayed on the radio.
