Frank White is pretty rough for the Royals. Kinda reminds me of Joe Morgan the way he stumbles around on the mic. sometimes. But he isn't arrogant like Morgan, so it doesn't bother me as much.

Disagree. I hate him just from hearing him from MLB 09 and when I heard complete games announced by him, my dislike for him increased.

As for the Yankee announcers i've grown to appreciate John Sterling. You strip him of his catchphrases and such and he's actually a damn good announcer...Kay on the other hand is just a smug prick.
Sterling has a good voice I will give him that. On the other hand, he makes a lot of errors in actually calling what's happening in the game which does bother me. He always thinks it's someone else warming up in the bullpen until 2 minutes later he realizes that Marte is a lefty and Bruney was in fact warming up.

Our old color commentator, Don Sutton, wasn't terrible, but he obviously wanted to be with the Braves. I'm sure he's great for the Braves radio now. Our new color guy, Ron Dibble, is fine, he's a HUGE homer and doesn't even bother hiding it. I don't really mind, I find it hilarious actually.
I LOVE Dibble! You can tell when he's getting pissed with the staff... I have a feeling one day he's going to leave the booth and you'll see him on the field just bitch slapping Hanrahan around for blowing another 9th inning lead. You also know he feels like he can go down there and pitch better than the entire team. I do feel like he takes the Nationals losing a bit too personally. I think he's going to quit in July when he just can't take another loss!

I don't think I hate any of the Pirates announcers. I believe they rotate around three, maybe even four, guys and they are all solid. They are pretty much interchangeable and I think that's a good thing.

lol...I don't think I like ANYONE for Chicago...North or southside (j/k...mostly). On the bright side, with Harrelson at least you get to "listen" to the silence of him pouting if your team is winning. I hate that guy.

I'm beginning to hate Chicago baseball in general, but that's a separate gripe...lol.

EDIT: Also, I'm not a fan of anyone I've heard call Angels games. I'm not sure who he is, but there is one guy who likes to go crazy with the pronounciation of the latin players names. He rolls Rs that aren't even there...lol. Drives me batty when he gets excited....doesn't sound natural. A minor gripe, as he's still better than Hudler. I'm realizing I'm kind of a hateful person when it comes to this.

I love the Reds announcers I have been watching their games for years on FSN and I love the crew. Now that I moved away I HATE the NESN crew watching Boston games.

Watching the Boston-Angels game during the "brawl" one of the announcers was defending Beckett and saying, "He shouldnt be the one to get thrown out."

why hasn't anyone said jeff brantley? his act was funny his first year, but it has just gotten old. give us merker full time and let brantley go back to baseball tonight. on a side note, most people aren't a fan of chris welsh (and his color comm is kinda off), but i love it when he does pbp on the radio. i say get rid of grande and let welsh have it.

Underwood is pretty bad. I don't think he and Rick Manning get along very well. Tom Hamilton, OTOH, is one of the best, so yay radio!

As for the Worst, it's the Hawk. Let's put it this way, if I were a blind man, I'd have no idea what was going on when Hawk calls a game. Between his moronic phrases and flat out not calling the game when the Sox are losing, he is awful.

Here's my opinion of the Pirates announcers:

Greg Brown - Ultimate homer. He annoys me till no end because there is nothing negative the Pirates can do and nothing positive the other team can do in his eyes.

Bob Walk - Excellent. He knows the game well and is one of few announcers who will get on the Pirates when they screw up. I've heard him berate hitters when the opposing pitcher has walked 2 guys on 8 pitches and then the next hitter swings at the first pitch.

John Wehner - He knows the game, but he struggles with his speech at times. He's a born and raised Pittsburgh guy who unfortunately has a Pittsburgh accent (Pgh accent's never come across well...especially for an announcer! I'm glad I never got the accent!).

Neverett - I don't know his first name as this is his first year, but he's replacing Lanny Frattare who announced for more than 30 years. I was never a huge Frattare fan, but I do like Neverett. He seems to know the game and has a good voice for announcing.

As for my most hated announcer - Ken Harrelson and it's not even close.

That would be Jose Mota. Mota/Gubicza/Markas/Hudler are terrible. Physioc is tolerable but i wish they would pair him with someone better. Mark Langston did some games a few years ago and wasn't bad. Sparky Anderson was decent. Don't remember much about Jerry Reuss so that may not be a good thing.

I have respect for Grande, being one of the old SC Guys back when SC was somewhat decent, but I agree it may be time for him to go.

Brantley adds a character to the microphone. I don't really mind his act. I definitely understand how some people could be annoyed by him though.

Really the only person who really annoys me is Welsch. If you get rid of him I wouldn't mind one bit. I still would like to see more Thom on TV, but when he does radio it isn't bad either.

I infrequently catch White Sox games on WGN...and I thank God that I've had the pleasure of listening to Vin Scully my entire life. Harrelson is terrible - almost an anti-Scully, since he's biased, loud, obnoxious, etc.

Just think as a kid growing up in L.A., I used to catch Laker games with Chick Hearn and Dodger games with Vin Scully. Unfortunately, I took Chick for granted and I appreciate Scully even more since Chick Hearn's death.

the worst pair are the clowns for the White Sox. I'd like to put it on the board with a slam into their teeth. right now i'm thinking about those morons and am raging at their utter stupidity. it's not just the corny sayings, it's their complete homerism, total lack of knowledge for baseball, and, well, BOTH of their voices. i forget the names of those clowns right now probably because my mind can only think of stomping them over and over.....

ok, whew. yeah.... there's my answer.
