I don't think it was roids...prolly some other substance + a better workout routine.
Cameras or guns, one of them is gonna shoot me to death.

Like Nivek said it's probably some other substance+better work out routine.

I do have to say that the guy had a lot of talent even before he became a phenomenal HOF calibre guy. Before Bonds went to San Fran he was probably a borderline HOF'er. He had a great combination of speed and power. He was so fast that in the early yrs he was the Pirates leadoff hitter. I can't think of very many Leadoff guys who become the power hitter on their team.

Bonds went to San Fran because he wanted to play on the same team as his God Father and he had enough pull to have his own father be one of the coaches for a long period. This definately helped Barry cope with the west coast and being on a different team.

Another reason for why Bonds has gotten so much better is because it is my belief that:

                        A) pitching talent has diminished
                        B) The balls have become juiced. I've seen some information that has said that the balls when McGwire first broke the HR record were more juiced then before that season.
                        C) more hitter friendly ball parks.

I totally agree. There a million reasons that he could have improved. However, i won't rule out the possibility of him using some illegal performance enhancers.
