I grew tired of this debate two days ago... nothing worse than a *****. He's just mad cause Bonds hits more homers than everyone on the Phillies combined not including Thome.

Ya, I'm putting this one on ignore, I'm not interested in what he has to say, he's just being argumentative and I could care less about his uneducated opinion anyways.

Lord forbid anyone gets THAT successful naturally...

What's funny is all the people in the past that admitted to doing roids.... none of them have reached the success Bonds has, so why isn't THAT factored in as well, you know?

LOL, Grow up dude. I'm not a ***** at all, in fact, I like Bonds a lot, he's one of the best ever. Unfortunately, in his old age, he felt necessary to juice it up in order keep up with the younger kids.

As far as the ***** comments, their sad because it's so far from the truth.

Re: How did Barry Bonds get so great so fast?

Hey EaglesFan, I'm not going to hate or anything, but let me tell you something...

Right now you see Austin Kearns and Adam Dunn, possibly the two best <25 players in the majors (not counting Pujols), and they are not the biggest people, but they still have some big guns. Look at Austin Kearns... I think he's 23 years old, and he's 6'3" and 220 lbs. He already has 10 hrs (so does Dunn). Now, I still believe they are not on roids, but people are going to forget how big/small they were now, and 15 years later, they will be the largest guys in the Bigs. Kearns will probably grow another inch or two and gain about 20 more pounds, but he will be really bulk and break Bonds's HR record. However, him being so big and crushing all of these homers does not mean he's juicing. He's just a growing kid, like you and me. People will get bigger, and sometimes a change can be QUICK.

I mean, my good friend Zach (although is 14 and has already gone through his... stage) moved to Arkansas at the beginning of the summer (he was 5'9"). He calls me 5 months later, and he's 6'2"!!! That is SCARY [censored]! But he's not juicing.

I HIGHLY doubt Bonds is juicing. And if he is, why isn't he hitting as well this year? It's because of his swing. It's not as good as last year's, and he even said it. During the Philly series, his swing was UGLY! Then during the Cubs series he got it back together and more compact, and now he's almost like last year again.

He may have gotten bigger, but the main reason why he's hitting so well is because of his swing. Sorry I got off topic a bit.

He always hit well, his size never mattered in that department, but I still think he's juicing.

He is HUGE now, that's all I'm saying man. I will not take anything away from his career.

I highly doubt that Kearns and Dunn will grow taller....they are 23 years old man! You stop growing up aroun 16~18. Beyond that, you grow out, not up. Sure, they will get bigger, heavier and put on more muscle...no one is arguing that that happened to Bonds.

What everyone is saying is just how much bigger Bonds has gotten and how fast he has done it. Personally, I don't like him...never have, never will. I wish McGwire still held the HR record, but hey....records are meant to be broken. Does Bonds use steroids? Who knows...only him prolly. Does that mean that I am defending Sosa or McGwire? No.

But, this kiddie stuff about "I/he/she/it grew 6 inches and put on 40 pounds over the summer" stuff has got to stop. You don't grow like that once you reach about 20 y/o. That kind of growing is called puberty, and it is done naturally...beyond 20 y/o, you will not grow like that (unless you are some freak of nature). Yes, you can still put on the weight, yes he has an (assuming) awesome training regimen. Yes, he has a very compact swing and is just locked in....
