I have to go with Santana.

Barry Zito and soon to be 300 winner Randy Johnson?

I'm not saying they are the most stellar rotation around by any means, but those two names used to be big ones.

Basically, they have four decent (at least very well known) starters and three lefties in their starting rotation. I'd say there is nothing poor about that at all.

As long as they hammer the strike zone first pitch, we get a real set-up man, and we find a true #4 hitter, we will surpass the Dodgers without hesitation.

As for best pitcher, I'm not claiming that he is, but I was surprised John Papelbohn or Francisco Rodriguez haven't been brought up. I mean, we don't have to restrict this to starters, do we? I see "best pitcher" as "most dominant with respect to their role."

We don't have to, but we should. A dominant starting pitcher is much more valuable than a dominant closer.

I don't like players that have a constant pouty face.

                  Timmy L and Zack Greinke.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I think it's a toss up between Santana and Halladay, Santana has just been ridiculous and Halladay has been too. I gotta give it to Halladay he's so underrated and yet so great, and he pitches in the dangerous AL East.

Rivera was more dominant as a closer last year than Lidge.

I put Santana firmly at the top.

After that, I'd have Halladay, Greinke and Lincecum all about even.
