Yeah, you could get a great team, and i think they would whoop ***.
Compared to the steroid team, those hitters are not good. I don't think any are better than their competition on the All Steroids team.

I don't know why Griffey always gets a free pass in this conversation.
While I also have my doubts he did them, I don't think that's a 100% certainty when you look at his era as a whole.
The nagging injuries also could make one wonder about steroid use ... though, again, I tend to believe Griffey was clean.

But I'm not betting my mortgage on it.

The all-clean team wins, but the all-roids team gets pissed and beats their heads in with bats in an uncontrollable rage.

1, i don't think you can find, say, 5 quality pitchers (starters and relievers) that were juicing.

The problem is you have to go back before steroids to come up with an all-clean team. Of course they were all taking speed from the candy dishes in the club house. Oh, and Mike Schmidt said he would have taken steroids if they were available when he was playing.

Personally I would have went back further and gotten Willie Mays, Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth,...etc.
When rookie Randall Cobb was told by this U.S. Marine that he was a big fan of the wide receiver, Cobb said, “I think I’m a bigger fan of yours.”

And we have no idea what THEY were taking. That's just it. Hell, even normal people are encouraged to take supplements to live a healthier life. Anything an athlete takes is done with the intent of being "performance enhancing", it's just what's legal and what's not.
