I thought it was justified. Those 2 pitches looked pretty intentional...

He didn't get a warning after the first one. I don't see it as toss worthy. He wasn't head hunting. It was below the neck.

It is what it is. Angels have surived this long without 60% of their rotation. One more game won't kill them.

And the Brewers continue their winning ways and are in sole possession of first place.

Thank you Corey Hart and Hoffman ringing Hell's Bell's lately.

          Jeff Suppan FTW!!!

I love Corey Hart. That guy does all the little things, things that don't always show up in the boxscore.

Rangers won 5 to 3. Good game and it's good to see the Rangers on a 6 game winning streak.

Now I don't know if Lackey should of been tossed but if I was an Angel fan I would be pissed at Lackey. Don't get yourself into that situation and you won't be tossed(rightfully or not).

I am not pissed at him. It happens.. Shouldn't have been ejected in the first place. Time to move on to the next game.

                Exactly.

Also, Svem has taught Hart to be a patient hitter this year. In years past, he's been a free swinger without walking much.

He has already surpassed his walk total from last season.

Sup's been a up and down pitcher, but he will give you innings. Even Melvin admitted that they didn't sign Sup to become a 20 game winner, he durability alone is outstanding.

Yup Suppan is the classic bottom of the rotation innings eater.

Is there also a rule you can't intentionally throw at someone?

Again, what's the big deal? First batter of the game, 10th batter of the game, who cares?

Tossing him was ridiculous. This isn't little league.

Yes, it was stupid to go out and nail him to start the game, but that isn't against the rules either.

Could be worse. They could have matched the Yankees offer to CC.

Sometimes the Brewers have to compete with the Yanks, Sox and the Cubs of the world.

Therefore, they have to overpay at times.

Overpaying for good players is one thing, overpaying for highly mediocre players is another thing entirely.

No team, no matter their payroll limitations, needs to spend that kind of money for back of the rotation starters. It was bad contract, there's no way to rationalize that.
