Since the break the Cardinals were swept by the Diamondbacks and lost 2 of 3 against the Rockies. Yeah....lets sell. And fire Marmol and start over in 2026 with a new front office and new manager at the helm.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

        Jesse Chavez is retiring.

He HAS to catch on with the Braves as a coach, right?

Chavez really bounced around a lot.

          3 stints in Atlanta
          2 stints in Toronto
          2 stints with the Angels
          2 stints with the Cubs

Has anyone had so many stints with multiple teams like that?

Here's one you don't see everyday.

Will Wager will not be with the team for this weekend vs the Tigers as he will be at his dads side.......at the hall of fame.

Somehow I never realized (or just forgot) he's Billy Wagner's son.

Not every day an active major leaguers dad is going in to the hall of fame. Usually the 2nd Gen players make it to the bigs afterwards. Even Vladdy went in the year before Vladdy Jr debuted.

It's surprising in a way that they've never actually been the best team in baseball in their franchises history.

Most of their 92/93 WS years didnt even have them with the best record during the season.

Their biggest AL East lead to end a season was 7 games, they're currently at 5.5.

Going into September 27, 1987, with 7 games to go in the season, the Blue Jays had the best record in baseball by 3.5 games.

On hall of fame Sunday, future hall of famer Max Scherzer will start against his former team the Tigers on his birthday.

Tigers are currently in 1st and the last time they won the division was during Scherzers final season in Detroit.

Can't believe a team with Scherzer, Verlander, Price couldn't win a single playoff game.

And speaking of HOF, Scherzer was on a DBacks team with Randy Johnson seems like a made up fact but it's true.

and Porcello and Anibal, and Cabrera and VMart and Kinsler and JD Martinez and Castellanos, and Torii Hunter

and Don Kelly, who just led the Pirates to a sweep of these bum tigers right before toronto does the same

edit: fun fact, the 2019 tigers, who lost 114 games, scored 102 runs in july, with 4 days to go the 2025 tigers have scored 74 runs in july

bonus fun fact: the last time an over .500 team lost 12 of 13 after june was the 2017 dodgers, who went to the world series and lost to... the Astros

that's a silly coincidence but I'll take what I can get

The Tigers have to be the 1st team to ever lead a division by 7 games after losing 12 of 13, right?

                            Lol AL Central.

I can't wait for expansion and division realignment.

AL East this year is projected to have their 9th season since 2008 where the 4 seed is at least a .500 team.

All 5 other divisions COMBINED have 8 instances of this since 1994!

Jays have won 9 of their last 11 series.

Only 2 losses are to the White Sox and As.

It's about to be 9 of 12 while adding the Os.

                              What a weird stretch.

Beating the likes of the Yankees, Tigers, Giants but losing to the worst teams in each of the 3 AL divisions.

Hey, our franchise player is coming off ACL tears in each knee the last few years, so we're going to take it easy with him. Also, he's complaining of Achille's soreness but wants to play. Sure, why not? What's the worst that can happen?
