For some reason the Brewers always play good against the Cubs. Brewers are like 21-21 when they play at Wrigley Field and not sure what their record is against the Cubs at Miller Park. I am sure they have a winning record against them. I just hope the Cubs win Monday against the Brewers since I will be there.

Generally teams in the same division play well against each other. Its because they are really familar with each other team's strenghts and weaknesses.Comment

Re: A note to Cub fans...
Yup, Sheets is 6 and 0 against the Cubbies... well played game yesterday... Estes and Rusch pitched well in conditions that were not the best for hitters (cold, blustery... typical of Chicago)... Rusch has had a tough season so far... 1 and 6 and he's lost 5 straight... I was pretty confident with him on the mound as he had won 7 straight against the Cubs
By the way... speaking of managers and decisions, what was Yost thinking when he pitched to Damian Miller in the fourth with Estes on deck... Miller singled in what was the winning runComment

Dusty seems pretty sound strategy wise and handling a pitching staff is a crap shoot, it's always easy to second guess when things go wrong.

Yes, but it isn't 'second guessing' when you're screaming at the tv "What is he thinking!" when the move is in the process of being made (or not being made). That's not second guessing, that's "I told you so" "but you guessed anyways"Comment

Re: A note to Cub fans...
I was just curious if Dusty has been a little more attentive to the game situations, now that his son is not allowed in the dugout.
I can't tell you how many times the camera showed him horsing around w/ his kid in the dugout during a key situation in the game. Personally, I think it was Darrin Baker who decided to pull Ortiz in game 6. He prolly put Feliz and Hernandez in the lineup for game 7 too! Nobody who's been in baseball as long as Dusty could've done these things.Comment

Re: A note to Cub fans...
I just love how everyone dogs Baker for hismanagerial style. It makes me wonder just how many people in here know what they are talking about, or just how many repeat what they here from the media. I mean, just about every critical comment echo's what was said by any newspaper columnist or televison blowhard last year. So my question is this--What makes everyone here so qualified to say Baker does not manage the game the way it is supposed to be. I know he is far from perfect but, I am sooooo tired of hearing everybody repeat the same stuff about him over and over again. It's as if everyone is reading from he same book of criticism's.Comment

Re: A note to Cub fans...
i second what gamedude said. as far as being qualified to criticize, i think being a Giants fan who has rarely missed a game in the past 22 years qualifies me.
i also believe the bay area media was way too kind to Baker over the years.
He's a great motivator and the players love him, but his strategy is very, very questionable.Comment
