Body armor like Bonds elbow gaurd reduces your bat speed, shin guards lessen your runing speed after the hit.

Why would the shin guards lessen your running speed? It isn't like they are lead weights or bricks tied to your shin. They are most likely some composite material that is very lightweight but very strong.

Same thing can be said of the elbow guard...it really isn't going to impede your swing much, if at all. Sure, you may have to get used to it, but once you do, you'll adjust.

But the rest of what you said sounds perfect.

What I would do is take the Franchise mode/features of Out of the Park and mix in some things from the other games for the in-game features. OOTP is almost perfect for out of game features.
Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a ttoal jmulbe and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

    amzanig huh?

the reason i would say it brings down your speeds, only by a few points 1-3, is because the shin guard limits the range of motion your ankle has, therefore you need to adjust your stride, slowing your speed, only out of the box, not once the next batteris up.. the elbow guard also limits your arm's range of motion, again only lessening you bat speed slighly lke 1-3 points (on a 99 points scale). ANything that limits your natural range of motion will slow you down.

it's not the weight of these pads, but the joints they impeed.
