i Seem to remember a pitcher having a razor in his glove a few years ago, and they found out cuz the stupid clod cut his self on it an was bleeding all over the mound on national television... that was the best doctoring of the ball i've ever seen...Comment

it's actually not unusual. I see you are from Hawaii and I am guessing that you don't have your skin crack from cold dry weather there. It is an old household remedy to put crazy glue or rubber cement on a blister or cracked skin to keep it from getting worse. They actually sell stuff at the drug store called liquid skin that is really just glorified rubber cement mixed with a crazy glue like substance.Comment

there will always be guys doctoring the ball, I'm sure every staff has at least a couple pitchers who do. I don't blame 'em, as offensive as the game has become, the umps can't stop it either.
it still takes alot of skill to throw an effective scuffball, as far as i'm concerned it's just another skill.Comment
