40 man roster question (asb2004)

In my franchise it's now September 10th yet the roster hasn't expanded. When will this happen? I've checked my reserves when in a game and no expanded roster at all.

If it doesn't expand why does it even bother allowing you to add people to the 40 man roster and say it will expand in the rule book?

I Have a theory on this that I have not yet tested. I think that during September you can send players who are on the 40 man roster up and down without affecting their options. That would essentially make your roster 40 because you could adjust it daily without losing options. Try that and let us know please.

Ok that didn't work either. I also tried moving the ones on the 40 man roster to the active list which also doesn't work. In the rule book it mentions the roster management but doesn't say what to do.

My theory:

You can only have 25 men on the active roster per game, but you can interchange the men on your 40 man all you want. As long as a guy is on the 40 man roster, you can bring him up for a game, and then demote him for someone else without affecting their options.

I tried that and almost lost my first basemen when he had no options left. I'm beginning to think the roster doesn't expand that it's just for show.
