I want the Nats to keep losing. I want Bryce Harper.

They need to focus on getting Strasburg signed first.

Yet another time when changing the voice works.

And yet, there is Eric Wedge...doing his yearly second half push to save his job. Un-be-leave-able

The more I think about it the more I think Eric Wedge is the baseball version of Wayne Fontes

I'm not saying the Nats could have hit .500 this year. But how can anyone still feel Acta wasn't a main problem in the Nats being so putrid? Yes, Bowden left him w/a sorry team. But Acta took a horrible team & still managed them to underachievement.

What did Eric Wedge ever do to you?.

Seriously though. Wedge only has his job still because he and Shapiro basically live or die by eachother. I think both will be looking for work when the season is over.

Which again begs the question: Why did it take so long to dump Acta? Why'd it take more than half the season to see the guy didn't have a clue what to do?

I guess the Diamondbacks must be that 1% team because they stink just as bad under A.J. Hinch as they did under Bob Melvin.

bc it doesn't matter. Whether the Nats win 20 games or 50 games they were going to suck this season no matter who managed them and when they started. Makes more sense to just wait until the end of the year or only make a change if you want to take a look at the next guy without any pressure. The Nats aren't expected to go anywhere next year either so there was no rush.

When you have a young team, you don't want them to fall into a bunch of bad losing habits. Which must have been what was going on w/Acta. The guy was a failure, plus a bit of a jerk.

I don't. The kid wants to be a Yankee, you know he's going to demand a lot of money, and best-case scenario he turns out really good and we need to trade him/let him to go the Yankees. No thanks. Plus, there's a lot less pressure at #2.

Manny Acta was a lot of things, but he was FAR from a jerk.

Regardless, if the Nats don't get the deal done with Strasburg, I'm done with the team. I'll stop going to games; even if a ticket is a gift. That's how furious and disappointed I'll be.
