    DBDynasty brought up a good point about this issue either here or at the Digital Sportspage board: It could be your audio settings.

    NHL 2K3 would disconnect all the time when either using surround or Dolby sound settings. Once those settings were turned off on your Xbox dashboard, the problems disappeared.

    So for those who are playing IP with a trick sound system, check your settings on the Xbox dashboard. Turn off Dolby. Turn off surround. They might be the culprit.

            Since I bought the game a week ago, I've only had ONE disconnect. And I use Dolby Digital and custom soundtracks. I just make sure that the people I play have the maximum or close to maximum green bars for the connection rating. Anything less than that and you are asking for lag and D/Cs. And I'm not sure if this makes a bit of difference, but I open the DMZ host option on my router to the Xbox.

                            When you go to Optimatch and see the list of players, you'll also see green bars next to the name. The more green bars, the better connection. Also, when you join a game, at the home/vistior select screen, it shows "your opponents Xbox", that graphic also displays the conenction bars too.

                                            I'm posting here to try to get some of that OS karma. I just picked up the game a couple nights ago. So far I've tried to play 4 games online and have been disconnected 4 times.

                                            Everytime it's happened in the 4th or 5th inning. I even tried to play a 3 inning game just to get through a game and wouldn't you know we went extra innings and I got disconnected in the 5th. 2 of the games I was losing, so I feel kinda bad about it. The online play is awesome...until I get disconnected. Anyone else have any advice with the disconnect problem?
