I hate to say it, but Matt Williams is not a premium free agent 3b anymore. He's pretty much done. Too many injuries. Still had a nice career though, and would have prob. broken ruth's record in 94 when the strike cut the season short.

    Roger Maris is already forgotten.

Seriously though, I've always been a Matt Williams fan, but after seeing what he's been doing the last couple years, I think he's done.

And as far as Vina staying hurt, I hope he does too.

As far as the *censored* I was just kidding, should have put a smiley in I guess. But being a Cardinals fan in Chicago I am guessing that you have been called worse.

As far as Vina goes it amazes me that Cardinals fans don't appreciate him. He is having a tough year but he has been playing hurt all year. He is a real thorn in the Cubs side.

Cairo is a more than capable leadoff hitter but you will miss his pinch-hitting. I actually like the Cardinals too, I have a lot of respect for their talent and I gotta root for somebody come post-season time

Why do you guys think Matt Williams is any good??? Look at the guy RUN!!!!!! he has to hunch over. I am a Dbacks fan and have to watch this every day...but please...take him and his salary from us!

Yeah i like Matt Williams but he wasn't contributing anymore. It's time for the Dbacks to move on and give those young guys some playing time(no choice right now) Who knows, maybe his pop ups will get caught out in the wind at Wrigley and be pushed in to the seats

The thing is, he's not just having a bad year. He had a bad year last year too, and a bad post season the year before.

He's simply an idiot. He doesn't take pitches, he swings for the fences and he runs into outfielders.

And that's it. And for tearing up the Cubs, well that's the only team he does tear up. And that's just not good enough.
