I think Felix and Zack Greinke have clearly been the two best pitchers in the AL this year but since they both pitch for teams that fly under the radar I doubt that either will win the Cy Young.

Maybe this is the year the writers pulls their heads out of their collective asses?

I think many of the pundits and writers are already sold on voting Greinke as this year's AL Cy Young winner.

They better vote for him. As big a fan of Felix as I am, there's no way anyone except Greinke deserves it.

However, like Snepp eluded to, its probably a pipedream the BBWAA would pull their heads out of their asses and look beyond a low Win total. The cynical side of me thinks those clowns will give it to Verlander or Sabathia based on Wins and a respectable ERA.

Felix pitched a two run complete game against the Yankees last night and Ichiro won it for him in the ninth with a walkoff two run homer against Mariano Rivera. Since the east coast media may have actually seen him pitch last night that will probably help him pick up a few Cy Young votes.

Also, anyone who doubts Ichiro has power should watch that walkoff HR. He just crushed it. A 400 ft rope. He could hit 30 HRs a year if he wanted to.

I hate when people say that. Why wouldn't you want to hit 30 HRs?
