Canseco claims a hall of famer juiced

    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4367025

Canseco has been our most credible source when it comes to this issue in baseball. Who do you think it is is?

I'm going to go with Nolan Ryan or Rickey Henderson.

Pretty sure that's synonymous with Rickey Henderson.

I think Canseco is just trying to stay in the spotlight, although he has a knack for getting these things right =/

IMO he has every right to go around with an "I told you so" attitude. He has not been wrong once. He won't know about some of the younger players though as that's past his time.

                      Agreed.

While the dude is a bit weird, I have read both of his books and have believed everything he has said for some reason.

With that said, it hasn't been that hard to peg these guys. I started a thread a while back about guys I suspected were juicers. Manny, Ortiz, and Sosa were at the top of my list. A few months later their names came out. It feels good to be right but at the same time it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

I still can't believe people were defending Sosa even after the corked bat issue. It was obvious he was a cheater.

Pretty much all of the good players were doing it.

he's obviously talking about Ricky Henderson, who was just inducted into the HOF last week

but who cares at this point. It's MLBs fault for not having a testing policy like every other pro sport did. There is a fine line when it comes to PEDs, and they are going to use what they can get away with, but nothing was illegal in baseball then. Henderson wasnt breaking any rules.

The slow leaking of names and retro witch hunt is getting ridiculous, but MLB deserves it with the way they handled everything. It's a joke.

Yeah it's either Henderson or Ryan IMO.

Kinda sad if you ask me

lol or Ryan? Why stop there? how about "or Cal Ripken Jr"

If there was something on Ryan, I imagine we would have heard something before, as long as he played and considering how long ago he retired. Im sure he took something (like all pro athletes do), but that doesnt mean that he took something illegal. There are things people can take to enhance their performance that are not illegal or looked down upon. There is a fine line.

What is sad is conducting a retro witch hunt on players that have been retired for years and without needing any evidence. People looking left and right for people to accuse, instead of simply moving forward with MLB's new testing policy, is what is sad...and it's MLB's fault for not having a testing policy all along.

anyway, with the timing of his statement, Canseco is clearly talking about Ricky Henderson considering Henderson was JUST inducted into the HOF last week and it's fresh news...but who cares? First off, accusations dont mean anything without evidence. Second, PED's were not illegal in MLB when Henderson played. So, IF Ricky used PED's, he didnt break the rules.

Didn't someone say in the other thread that most PED's were illegal in baseball since 1991? Considering his last year was what, 2004? Yeah, I'd say that makes up about an eighth of his career.

EDIT: Had to check what year he last played and it was 2003, however when I began to Google his name, the assumed entry below "rickey henderson" was "rickey henderson steroids". Sad that it's already out like that.
