I by no means think the game is ugly. For one it has the best looking ballparks out of all the games IMO.

The rest is sub-par and overall it doesn't look as good as the rest, but I don't find it ugly.

Well, "ugly" is subjective of course. But after playing WSB 2K3/HH at 480p, and starting off IP with the "behind the pitcher" cam, first impressions were like a very bad blind-date

The behind the batter cam looks much better, and I agree that the parks look nice. And the lighting affect for night games is cool. So it is not all bad. But the jaggies are awful, the player models are "stumpy" like NFL Fever, and the scrolling (when the ball is hit) is not very smooth in my opinion.

But I do realize that this game's strength is online play. I was just pointing out that reviews (not just the OS review) that says "IP's graphics are not quite as nice as the other games" are being pretty generous.

I am talking "overall graphic look", not tiny ballpark details. I think they really dropped the ball by not offering 480p support. WSB2k3/HH do support 480p and it makes the graphics a *lot* cleaner.

I agree with you for the most part on graphics. WSB looks alot better on my 53'' than this.

I cannot disagree with that statement. I love the way WSB looks, but I have a problem with one thing...and it really bugs me a lot.

I like to be able to see the field that I'm playing on and I think that IP does this better than any other game. WSB is too zoomed in on the action and you really never get a feel for the park. A lot of people don't like the "action cam" or whatever IP calls it, but I happen to dig it. You get to see a lot of the park and can appreciate all of the unique features of each team's home ballpark.

1. The game does support 480p. Go turn it off in your xbox settings and then look at the game.

2. It's not a terrible looking game. Like Crazy Stanley said, the stadiums are amazing... and the player models, while not being as good as WSBs, arent that bad. Better than High Heat fo sho.
