    After thinking for quite some time I'm going with Tony Gwynn. If I needed one hit I know he would find a way.

      Alex S. Gonzalez of the Cubs....not only has he hit 3 clutch HRs this year, he hit 2 (that I can remember) last year--one of I which I was at Wrigley for. In addition to the HRs, he also comes up clutch with hits in pinches.

            I thought about Tony too, but I thought he meant an active player.
