    Props to Tony Gwynn. Best hitter probably all (or most) of us will see in our lifetimes.

      Well, he swings at everything, so he's bound to hit something sometime.

      Yeah, but he can hit everything. Have you seen the way he pulls those way outside pitches? It's amazing.

      And I agree, Tony Gwynn was an outstanding hitter. He was not only a great hitter, but a smart hitter. It was a pleasure to watch him play.

            now this is just me being a ripken fan talking but, he just has this aura this magic about him, he always comes up big in those high pressure situations, and in those situations where its just surreal such as when he hit those homers while breaking the streak. so i'll go with the magic of <font color="orange">cal ripken </font> .
