The Rockies look good because of some good home pitching. Something, however, tells me that Chacon won't keep up his hot streak.

Don't count out the Phillies making a run at things. The Braves and Expos are going to have to go out to the west coast on this interleague swing. Facing the A's and M's might lead to a few losses. Things will eventually avg. out for all the Braves at are currently "Overachieving" (ie. Marcus Giles).

Marcus is actually a very good player... I don't think he's even reached his full potential yet.

As far as the Braves "on a whole", I do think they are playing over their head, but not really by all that much... that's gotta be one of the most potent outfields in the majors today. Jones, Jones, Sheff.

It is the most potent outfield in baseball. A. Jones is starting to becomed more focused at the plate, his OBP is .020 higher.

Furcal's OBP is .035 higher than his career avg.

Javy Lopez is batting about .040 higher than his career avg.

All in all, this team still might very well win the east, but I don't think its going to be with a +10 game cushon.

Don't expect the Red Sox starting pitching to be this bad either, after all they had the best or 2nd best ERA's for starters last year, not to mention Pedro is coming back Wed. and Lowe is returning to his form of 2002. With the Jays offense they will be in every game, so this will be a 3 team race until the end.
