        Maybe. I don't know. I just don't see how people can say they'd rather look cool than be safe. Isn't that what Dale Earnhart said? He'd probably still be racing if he hadn't so strongly objected to various safety features that are now mandatory. I think it's downright stupid to wait until someone dies or is a vegetable before action is taken. If you have the device that you know will work better now, why delay?

            Huh? The helmet was being worked on before he got hit. It was supposed to be introduced for spring training next year.


            Anyways, he already stopped wearing it.

                This is going to screw a lot of people up. The extra weight and tightness will mess with a lot of players swings. If they could come up with something that inflates like an air bag only on contact, I think more players would wear it. All that cushioning is going to be hot.

                    I really thought this was only for Wright. I didn't know it was being designed for everyone. Not sure what to think about that new revelation.

                        I agree wholeheartedly, just curious if that was a factor.

                        The manly ego I would believe is the sole reason. Obviously, I have pride as a man in feeding my family, as well as my testimony and how I'm seen of others but not enough to the point that appearance > life.
