How does one know that the Pirates have anything to do with this ludicrous rumor? This could be all Steinbrenner while the Pirates management is sitting back thinking "That'll never happen". Dave Littlefield is not that dumb to trade Giles especially for a bum like Weaver. Just another internet rumor.

someone told me Giles can stop a trade to places he doesn't want to go to..like NYC...The only places he would go to are the teams in the cal-State and of course Atlanta...

Atlanta would be good.It moves Chipper back to 3rd and Giles in the OF.but who would ATL give...Probably they would have to give Ramirez and another prospect.

Giles with another outstanding catch in LF tonight. It seems he makes a diving grab every other day. He truly is one of the better players in the game...

brian giles on the pirates is like corey dillon on the bengals. corey dillon is one of the best running backs in the game, but he is smothered by the curse of being on the worst team ever. i think if brian giles moved to colorado, he would be noticed alot more. these days, the more home runs you hit, then "supposedly" u are better then everyone else. example adam dunn, .203 average, but is said to be one of the best outfielders because of his homeruns
