    Giles is just an all around good guy and a good player. It's kinda sad to see that much talent go to waste in a team that hasn't had a winning record in a decade. Giles has been the Pirates team for years and I hope soon he helps to turn them around.

                  One of the very few smart things Cam Bonifay did was to sign Giles to a long-term contract.

                  Of course, he went and did the same thing with Kendall and Young......

                        And that he was drafted in 1989?

                        People forget how he took a long time to develop for the Indians, before he became a Pirate. I for one, before recently, thought he was 2-4 years younger.

                              Not only was he a long time in development, but he was actually the fourth outfielder for the Indians, and they didn't really need to give him much playing time -- which is the only reason I can see for them trading him away for Ricardo Rincon (one of the great fleecings in recent baseball history)
