I've seen that rumor, too. And, it absolutely makes NO sense whatsoever from the Pirates perspective. The Yankees would have to give up a LOT more than Jeff Weaver to get Brian Giles. No way Littlefield makes that deal.

            How about this Pirate lineup:

            Lofton cf
            J Wilson ss
            Giles lf
            Ramirez 3b
            Simon 1b (when off DL)
            Sanders rf (Stairs)
            C Wilson c
            Kendall 2b
            pitcher

I totally agree. Weaver hasn't done much since he left the Tigers (did I really say that?) and Giles means too much to the Pirates to trade away for another struggling starter.

Yup... bucs are hurting worse with bats right now than pitching, however both have been working, thus the good play lately, but in all I think starting pitching is pretty decent, they keep us in games. Giles will NOT go anywhere for just a pitcher, Littlefield has already gained enough of my trust to know that he won't do that...

Personally Griff, i wanna see Kendall gone and Pokey back on second, UNLESS we DO manage to get Marcus then HE'LL play second.
