Re: Disappointed in my Mets wsb2k3 finish
Wow, last year in my WSB 2K3 franchise I had the EXACT SAME record with my Giants (85-77), and I was tied with the Padres, but for some reason I got to go to the playoffs. However, I think it is because of the record against that one team you played. For instance, I probably beat teh Padres more than they best me that season.

I finally finished my season. I ended up tieing with San Diego with a record of 85-77 (tied in 1st place), but for some reason, I make it to the playoffs. SWEET!
So, my first series will be vs Houston (who I just recently played). The other two teams are St Louis and Atlanta. I haven't started any playoff games yet though.

Yeah! Beat the Astros in the Divisional Series. Now off to face the Cardinals for the NL Champ Series.

Okay, during the series vs the Cardinals in the playoffs, I am up 3 games to none, one more win for my Giants to go off into the World Series. Next thing you know, they win one game... big deal, they still have to win 3 more. Then they win another game... well, that's... okay. Then they win the third game and tie the series up at 3... uh... I'm in trouble. Final game, in St Louis. The Cardinals hit 3 home runs in the first inning, and the score is 5-0 Cards... 3 innings later, it's 7-2, and stays like that til the 8th, where I have Ellis Burks pinch hit to hit a 3 run jack! 7-5! Top of the ninth now. Durham on second, and Rickey Henderson gets hit by the pitch!!! Bonds is up!!! First pitch... 3 run home run! we are up 8-7! Robb Nen comes in. 1 out. 2 outs. Then Pujols comes up and he hits a single. Now Edmonds. Swing and miss strike one. Foul ball strike two. Slider low and in, and he hit's a shot... fair or foul?... FAIR! OFF THE POLE!!! AND WE F*CKING LOSE!!! ARRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!
And the Cardinals go to the World Series, and we leave with our heads down. Cards vs Red Sox in the World Series, and the Red Sox end up winning the World Series in 4 games.
Sorry, I just wanted to show you those to show you how mad and sad it was to make it to the playoffs a weird way, and then END UP GETTING SO CLOSE TO THE WS, BUT THEN LOSING!!! ARGGGHHH!!!
