That looks quite a bit more reasonable.

              Zobrist - 7.4 WAR

Looks like Gaudin is trying to pitch his way onto the postseason rotation.

He's one of the best leadoff hitters in the game and is on pace to do something nobody's done in 60+ years, while Kinsler's hitting in the .250's.

Pedroia is considered miles better than Roberts, yet they're having nearly identical seasons, except Roberts has more doubles, stolen bases, and RBI.

So is Denard Span, but it doesn't make him an MVP candidate.

and is on pace to do something nobody's done in 60+ years
Ichiro did something no one has ever done, that doesn't make him an MVP candidate.

So? Their OPS's are basically identical. Nevermind that Kinsler has also been better in the field.

Pedroia is considered miles better than Roberts, yet they're having nearly identical seasons, except Roberts has more doubles, stolen bases, and RBI.
Nearly identical except for that tiny little portion of the game called defense, which Pedroia is considerably better at.

In a season that's been so full of disappointment it's great to see a guy like Aaron Hill thrive. The guy hit his 33rd HR and collected his 100th RBI being the first ever 2B in Blue Jays history to do so.

He's one of my favorite guys on the team and I hope he's here in Toronto for the long haul.

I was like this once wasn't I. Man. 5th best behind who Sandman mentioned isn't bad company at all.

Besides...they all bow down to Utley, and I've got the win shares, OPS, and fielding to prove it.

Nope, not bad company at all. And as I mentioned, a bunch of those guys are pretty interchangeable where they would rank as well.

Besides...they all bow down to Utley, and I've got the win shares, OPS, and fielding to prove it.
No doubt about that, he's by far the Pujols of middle infielders. There's him, and then everyone else. His WAR totals over the last 5 years....

                                7.4
                                6.8
                                8.0
                                8.1
8.0 (plus a few more games to go)

That's nothing short of ridiculous, almost as ridiculous as the lack of recognition he receives.
