Geeez! That's two runs that are allowed to score just because of fielding errors.

I'm telling you, the old man's lost it. We're witnessing Leyland's final plunge into dementia.

C'mon Maggs. We need a left centerfield gap shot here. Please don't hit a charity double play ground ball.

Edit: Dammit. C'mon Miggy. Knock in somebody.

It's becoming clear that Freddie Garcia is on top of his game tonight, and that's not good for the Tigers. They have to show more patience at the plate so to at least drive up Garcia's pitch count. Can't allow him to throw 8-pitch innings like he did in the 4th. That's inexcusable.

Maybe the Lions unleashed a curse on the city by winning last week now the Tigers are going to choke their way out of the playoffs!

This should be a 2-0 game if it wasn't for fielding miscues by Polanco and Maggs early in the game. But even if those weren't made, the big boys are not doing their jobs tonight on hitting end to put up runs. Grandy and Polanco are both not getting on base. Guillen is struggling (again). Miggy has been awesome for much of the year, but he has picked the absolute wrong time to go into a hitting slump. He hasn't done much at the plate during this entire homestand. And it's funny yet sad at the same time that Maggs has gotten two hits tonight with no runners on base, but didn't get a hit when there were baserunners to drive in. What a sad offensive display over the last two days.

                Man Sweaty Freddy is cruising.

BTW, I guarantee the Tigers will win tomorrow, but they aint winning at the Metrodome, so they better hope the Royals win.

Finally got on the board in the 8th inning after Ozzie Guillen pulls Freddie Garcia. It's rally time, fellas!

                  Edit: Dammit Miggy! Argh!

I literally called "first pitch GIDP" 20 seconds before it happened.

That must have been a tough inning. One run already in, two on, tying run at the plate, Ordonez and Cabrera coming up. And those big bats combined to make three outs.

I just don't get it. Alex Rios has struggled hitting against every team since he's put on a White Sox uniform... except against the Tigers. Go figure.

@#%@! Once again, Verlander will have to save the day for the Tigers tomorrow.

I have a good feeling we'll clinch tonight.

Hilariously, if it weren't for the fact that the Rockies are only a game behind us, we could have lost out (7 in a row) and still clinched homefield advantage throughout the NL playoffs.

Why couldn't the Sox play like this when they had a chance?

Anyway, I, as a neutral party, am rooting for a one-game playoff.

More baseball, especially with a playoff atmosphere, is never a bad thing.
