Sizemore and Hafner will be next to be dealt out of town. All superstars we have will be gone. Dolan doesn't like spending money, it seems...

(And I like how he says "we're building for the future"......what's that, Dolan? 2030????)

He knows of it... but he uses it in all the wrong situations.

I've spent a couple years watching him on the Nats broadcast. The Tribe will only get worse under him.

He wasn't the sole reason. But he was a reason. Like I said before on this forum, no one expected the Nats to finish above last & they still managed to underacheive w/him as manager.

            w/Acta: 26-61
            w/o Acta: 33-42

Why would a last place team hire a manager who made a last place team worse?

Lucky for Hafner he's not a superstar. Sizemore on the other hand will probably be dealt when it comes time for a new contract.

We have been building for the future for 7 years. Every time we get a home grown player that turns into a star or superstar we trade them when their big league deal is up. How is this building for the future? The only thing I can think of is the Dolan's hope we will get lucky before these deals are up and win a sausage.

As far as Manny Acta, simple logic would say that he was a poor choice for a manager. But when do Cleveland teams ever let Logic get in the way of a cheap deal??

You should put some context to those numbers as it was Jim Riggleman, a manager who has been mediocre to sometimes outright bad as a skipper that got the Nats to play better.

Think about that for a bit.

The Tribe may as well get used to playing in front of empty seats for the next few years.

I actually wanted Cito Gaston when he was available before. But the FO was happy with Wedgie.

I've often wondered how Cito would've done in a place other then Toronto. He was a 50/50 shot from getting the Chicago job as it came down to him and Ozzie. I think the main reason Ozzie was hired was due to Reinsdorf being more familiar and comfortable with Ozzie being the manager.
