Seriously though, the Sox didn't show up and the Angels did. Kudos to the Angels for getting it done. They played better from start to finish and deserved to win. I hope (and not just because they'll likely be playing the Yankees) they continue to do well.

After our dealings with Red Sox fans who come to our stadium these past few years, sorry, but for my money there is no fan more insecure and more obnoxious than Red Sox fan.Nothing like being kicked when your down. j/k...mostly.

No, I got you...I was just trying to keep it light while I stew is all. I'm more upset about how we went down (particularly blowing this game) than losing the series. The Angels are too good to be held back by us yet again. I thought they'd win, but I also thought my Sox would show up. Gotta credit the Angels for that too though. Just outplayed all around...frustrating.
Anyway, as for the fans, believe it or not I think we (the real Red Sox fans) are suffering much like the Yankees of the 90's from the band-wagoners who claim to have been in from ground zero.
I appreciate the exclusion though.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. When you basically throw one pitch and don't locate it particularly well (as has been the case much of this year, in particular) you are asking to be beat.

I'm not a huge baseball fan, but for my own personal reasons (plus how the network appeared to REALLY want the Red Soxs to play the Yankees) I'm super happy the Sox lost today.
Man, this was a great sports weekend for me.
Fresno Bulldogs won, Steelers won, Angels won.

Worst accusation of the trade deadline (or in this case, waiver deadline).. getting Billy Wagner. That dude has failed in EVERY big spot he's been in, and he teases you that he's so good during the regular season that you think you can put him in big spots, but he chokes them away.
