That was a good game, Ibanez's homerun was the turning point in this one, just enough insurance.Comment

Re: NLCS: Phillies vs Dodgers
I think the wild card of this game and potentially this series is Chan Ho Park....
If he can keep up his bullpen work from the season and this game 1, the phillies bullpen will go from shaky to decent.
Hamels just isn't himself. His stuff tonite was really good, but his cool veins have turned hot. He lost it in the dugout, and showed a lot of negative mannerisms throughout the game. You never see that from him the past 2-3 years. Hope he turns it around, but I just don't think we'll see the 7-8 IP 2 ER performance (last year's norm) out of him from here on out. If he manages 6 innings 3 runs from this point on, I will take it.
good win, and let's go pedro for tomorrow.Comment

Manny wasn't classy, but a little jawing and statement making is perfcectly fine in a series like this. Show some dislike.....old school.Comment

Re: NLCS: Phillies vs Dodgers
I don't know whether to be encouraged that the Dodger bats still seem strong after the long layoff and the fact that they got to Hammels or discouraged by the fact that 6 runs weren't enough and the bullpen (Sherrill) gave it up. Anyway, tomorrow is a must win. Viva Vicente!Pitchers and Catchers Report; Life Worth Living AgainComment

Re: NLCS: Phillies vs Dodgers
he's a .360 career hitter in the playoffs, and he somehow hits HRs in the POs. He's definitely been the Phils MVp so far this post-season. The timely hits, RBIs AND the great calling of the game.Comment
