    all i have to say is thank god the mets got rid of that eyesore.. hope he give sox fans something to cheer about because he certainly didn't for mets fans..

                  The Mets got the better end of the trade. 3 Prospects and one who should be a phenomenon. Only drafted in 2002 and already traded away.(Where's that "D'oh!" smilie?}
                  Next year he's a FA. I don't see how this helps the Sox.

                        This helps the Sox cuz they're suddenly in the AL Central race. I think Alomar was more of an AL player and he should pick up his game in Chi-Town. If he doesn't then he's washed up for sure.

                              I am getting tired of the "they traded and one SHOULD be a phenomon" If a team is in the race, I am happy to see them make moves that will help them NOW. Not ones that will help them in 5 years...maybe


                              And I wouldn't really consider all of them "prospects." Almonte is already 27..We really only gave up Ring, but our closer of the future is Cotts anyway..
